The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge for the identification and treatment of parasitic and non-parasitic diseases of the most important crops in Greece. Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to recognize the symptoms and signs of the main diseases caused by microorganisms (fungi, bacteria, viruses) and nutrient deficiencies (food deficiencies) in the most important crops (tree crops, vegetables, to assess the expected impact on the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of production and to draw up and implement integrated pest management programmes with a view to the safety of producers and consumers and the protection of the environment.
