The course aims to familiarize students with the most important major crops for Greek and global agriculture, as well as the basic elements of their anatomy, morphology and physiology, the abiotic and biotic factors that affect agricultural production and the interactions between these factors and plants, the possibilities and ways of human intervention to increase agricultural production, improve the quality of agricultural products and protect the environment, the environment, the environment and the environment. On completion of the course, students will be able to identify the most important large-scale crop plants at various stages of their development and their propagating material, to understand the influence of environmental factors (biotic and abiotic) and cultivation techniques (sowing, fertilisation, irrigation, etc.) on physiological functions, plant growth in the field and yields, to select the most suitable cultivation system for each case and to apply the appropriate cultivation techniques, to select the most suitable cultivation system and to apply the most suitable cultivation techniques.
