The aim of this course is to provide students with the basic concepts of Genetics, as well as to understand the nature of the genetic material of organisms. Students will be able to learn about the function of genes and how they are organized in the genome. The laws and principles of classical genetics and the phylogenetic analysis of organisms are also taught. In addition, students become familiar with terms such as genetic recombination, mutations, genetic markers and genetic maps. In tutorial exercises, students learn the solution of genetic problems and the methodology for solving them.
