The Quality Assurance Policy (QAP) of the Department of Digital Systems was designed in the context of the Academic Accreditation Proposal of the Department's Undergraduate Curriculum and is a key parameter and prerequisite for its continuous monitoring, updating and improvement. The main pillars of the EPD are structured and monitored through four Committees operating within the Department and interfacing with the OMEA, the Student Association and the institution's MOHIP. These Committees are as follows:
1. Curriculum Committee
- Plans and monitors course content in collaboration with the teaching staff, identifying possible overlaps or gaps
- It takes into account possible withdrawals and retirements and ensures its medium/long-term sustainability.
- Propose additions, updates or revisions to the curriculum in a proposal submitted annually to the Departmental Assembly.
- It takes into account whether the Programme is consistent with the relevant national and, in particular, European curricula and seeks proposals that are considered innovative.
- It verifies the correspondence between the workload of the students and the corresponding ECTS credits and proceeds with ECTS adjustments.
- Ensure that the evaluation of students is continuous and constructive and take it into account when formulating its proposals.
- It meets at least 3 times per academic year or whenever deemed necessary.
- Submit an annual report on its activities (per academic year) to the OMEA.
2. ERASMUS+ Committee
- It monitors the number of incoming and outgoing students for studies and their progress, the number of incoming and outgoing students for internships, the number of incoming and outgoing lecturers, the number of incoming and outgoing administrative staff.
- It is responsible for:
- the continuous expansion of the Department's international relations and the increase in the number of bilateral partnerships
- assisting incoming and outgoing students in the drafting of Learning Agreements
- monitoring student progress (ECTS, grades, course correspondence)
- organising regular information meetings
- the selection of students for transfer on the basis of the criteria of the institution - Monitoring and evaluating the progress of the Department's Bilateral Cooperation Protocols.
- to advise on proposals for the conclusion of new Bilateral Cooperation Protocols of the Department.
- It shall provide information on any publicity activities undertaken.
- It shall meet at least 3 times per academic year or whenever deemed necessary.
- Submit an annual report on its activities (per academic year) to the OMEA.
3. Internship Committee
- Ensures the establishment of relationships with institutions that will offer positions to students and that will be in line with their direction of study and their general interests. In collaboration with the Registrar and the students' Academic Advisors, determine the Supervising Professor for students undertaking PA.
- In the fall of each year, they evaluate the progress of the Internship Program of the previous academic year in order to submit proposals for the next cycle of Internships in a timely manner.
- It shall meet at least 3 times per academic year or whenever deemed necessary.

Submits an annual report to OMEA and DATA, including the following: a list of agencies that engaged students, an evaluation of the results of the Internship and suggestions for improvement where necessary.
