Quality Assurance in Higher Education is a key objective of the European Higher Education Area, which Greece has joined, along with 45 other European countries, with the enactment of Law 3374/2005. The basic principle governing quality assurance is the high sense of responsibility of each institution towards students and society for the provision of high quality education.
The Quality Assurance Unit of the University of Peloponnese is the central coordinating body of the quality assurance and evaluation processes of the institution.
The aim of the Quality Assurance Unit of the University of Peloponnese is the systematic, documented, recording and promotion of the work of each academic unit and department separately, as well as of the Institution as a whole. The relevant evaluation data are made public in a way that promotes the transparency of the National System of Higher Education and highlights the important work that is produced in the Institution. The evaluation of the departments and of the institution as a whole concerns the quality of teaching, research, curricula and other services.
