As of August 2021, I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Peloponnese with the subject "Entrepreneurship: Education and Learning Processes". I hold a PhD in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (1997), a Master's Degree in Adult Education from the Hellenic Open University (2011) and a second PhD in Entrepreneurship from the University of Peloponnese (2017). I teach and conduct research in Entrepreneurship and Innovation with a focus on start-up and youth entrepreneurship. I have being teaching this subject for several years at various universities in the country such as NKUA, University of Peloponnese, ASPAITE, HOU, etc., and as a visiting professor abroad (University of Žilina, Slovakia, University Koblenz-Landau, Germany, Neapolis University Pafos, Cyprus). At the postgraduate level I have taught in MSc courses such as "Space Science, Technologies and Applications" of the University of Peloponnese and the National Observatory of Athens and "Studies in Education" of the Hellenic Open University. I also teach in the MSc "Public Administration and Digital Transformation" at the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Peloponnese. I have also served as Innovation Advisor of the National Observatory of Athens for one year. I have many years of experience in career counseling of students as I was the coordinator of the Career Office of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2004-2013). I have also received funding from the American Embassy in Athens for the TeleCC initiative which provided non-formal tele-education and counseling in entrepreneurship for one year. In the past, I was an NSF (IKY) fellow (doctoral and postdoctoral) and also a postdoctoral researcher in the Netherlands.
In the field of entrepreneurship, I have participated for several years in the scientific committee of international conferences (more than 20), co-edited 8 special issues of journals/collected volumes/practical conferences, and have authored a total of 4 books/manuscripts, 11 chapters in edited volumes, 20 articles in scientific journals and 38 articles in conference proceedings. My research interests are in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, learning and education (entrepreneurial intention, creativity and innovation, entrepreneurial opportunity, entrepreneurship as a learning process, etc.) as well as adult education and the use of new technologies and methods in education. My scientific papers have been awarded at the ICEIRD 2017 and ECIE 2019 conferences. I am a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Management Education published by Elsevier.
