Dr. Efthalia (Elia) Chatzigianni i(MA, PhD) s Associate Professor of International Organizations and other forms of cooperation in the field of sport, Department of Sport Management and Organization, University of Peloponnese, Greece. She holds a BA in Sociology from the Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences, Athens, Greece, an MA in International Politics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium and a PhD in International and European Studies from the Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences, Athens, Greece. She is author of two books: Sport Governance. Globalization International Organization and Politics (2018, Athens: Sideris) and Lobbying: Interest Promotion Mechanisms (2007, Athens: Papazissis) and co-editor of the book Corporate Social Responsibility and Governance. Stakeholders, Management and Organizational Performance in the European Union (2022, London & New York: Routledge). She has lectured in various undergraduate and graduate academic programs in Greece, and abroad. She has published in numerous international conferences and journals, and published book chapters in English, Greek, French and German. Among other, she was stagiaire in the European Parliament, and has participated in the organization of various international sport events, including three Olympic Games (1996, 2002, 2004). She speaks fluently four languages and has functional knowledge of two more.
Since February 2023, she is Vice Rector of Administration, International Relations & Extroversion of the University of the Peloponnese.
