Dr. Emmanouil Choustoulakis is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sports Organization & Management at the University of Peloponnese. He has completed his postdoctoral research (PostDoc) at the Department of Sports Organization & Management at the University of Peloponnese. He holds a PhD from the University of Athens in Education Economics and ICT. He also holds a Master's Degree (MSc) in Digital Systems and E-Learning from the University of Piraeus, while he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics (BEcon) also from the University of Piraeus.
He has authored more than 50 research papers in international scientific journals, international scientific conferences, book volumes, but has also authored his own monographs and 4 books. He has participated in a number of nationally and internationally funded research projects, where he has utilized advanced mathematical, economic and statistical models, thus gaining a strong specialization and experience in the most modern research techniques and methodologies. His research interests cover Mathematical Economics, Information and Communication Technologies and their contribution to the improvement of educational efficiency and effectiveness, Modern Digital Education Models, Management of Technological Innovations, Digital Transformation of Leadership, Organizational Leadership, etc.
He is a member of international scientific associations & bodies (AACE, ACM, EEA, PME), national scientific associations (Member of the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Union for the Utilization of ICT in Education, member of the Scientific Committee of the Hellenic Society for the Promotion of Educational Innovation). He is also a member of the scientific & editorial committee and also a reviewer in international and Greek scientific journals. He has also participated as a member of the scientific and organizing committee of national and international conferences, workshops and training seminars. He holds a certification in the organization of virtual live events. He is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece, member of the Athens Chamber of Commerce, member of the Center for Lifelong Learning of the University of Peloponnese, the Register of Evaluators of Private Sector Projects of the Information Society SA. He is a Certified IT Project Evaluator at the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation.
He has rich work experience in the Private Sector, where he has worked as an Economist, Strategic Management Consultant in Human Resources, Head of Research & Development in research projects, but also as Head of Design, Development of Digital Technologies.
Currently, he teaches at the Department of Sports Organization & Management at the University of Peloponnese, both in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He has also taught at the Department of Economics, University of Piraeus. He is also an Adjunct Academic Staff at the Hellenic Open University (HOU) at the School of Social Sciences, where he teaches in the Pedagogical and Teaching Adequacy Program for graduates of the Schools of Economics & Management. He is also a Certified Trainer at the National Centre for Public Administration & Local Government (EKDDA). He actively participates in academic workshops, focusing on cutting-edge research in the fields of Economics and Management in Modern Business and Education, and on the rapid development in the field of digital technologies. He speaks 3 languages.
