Vassilis Triantafyllou obtained his diploma and PhD from the Computer Engineering department of the University of Patras. Currently, he is a professor of the Electrical and Computer engineering Department of the University of Peloponnese. He has a significant administrative experience as he has served as Rector of the TEI of Western Greece (2015-2019), President of the Computer and Informatics Department of TEI of WG (former Telecommunication Systems and Department) (2004-2015), Head of the Research Unit 6 of the Computer Technology Institute (1998-2001), head of the Network Operation Center of TEI WG. He has a continuous experience (over 30 years) in teaching in Tertiary Education, Vocational Training.
He served as scientific director of over 20 research projects while his research work includes 55 research articles in refereed conferences and journals, 2 book chapters and have received over 350 citations. His research interests include design and development of networking applications, theoretical and practical aspects of e-democracy (deliberation, voting etc.) and e-government. IoT and sensor network applications.
