The course examines in detail the genesis and use of a series of terms through specific works of women creators in literature, philosophy, art, film, video games, etc. Women make art and are positioned in their artistic process against concepts like patriarchy, masculinity/femininity, gender identity, race, colonialism, ecocide, etc. At the same time, there will be historical references to the evolution of gender theories such as the construction of gender, the division of gender into biological/social, the origin and the "waves" of feminist theory. The different facets of politics will also be mapped out through artistic creativity (activism, space, geography, communities, and mobilities).
