The course aims to lead students to explore the science of speech and language therapy in depth by analyzing the current literature on ethical issues and/or newer developments/disputes in the science of speech and language therapy (theory and clinical application). By completing this course, students are expected to be able to evaluate treatment methods based on evidence-based practice, make clinical decisions based on evidence-based concepts, assess the quality of services in speech therapy, apply study results to assist in decision-making in speech therapy, evaluate reviews and meta-analyses of studies, and incorporate the results into clinical practice guidelines and protocols.
