Marina Angelaki is Assistant Professor in Social Security Policies in the Department of Social and Educational Policy, School of Social and Political Sciences, University of the Peloponnese. Her research interests focus on the politics of pension reforms in Europe and Latin America, European and global social policy, gender issues. 

Her research has been published among other in the following journals: Social Policy and Administration, Social Policy, International and Comparative Social Policy, Latin American Politics and Society. She has co-authored (with V. Koumarianos and G. Symeonidis) the book “An Introduction to Social Security” and has co-edited (with Th. Sakellaropoulos, Ch. Economou and Ch. Skamnakis) the volume “Social Policy”. She has also contributed to edited volumes with chapters on the politics of pension reforms in Europe, social policy in Greece, European social policy. Furthremore, she has presented her work in international conferences (among others: ISA, IPSA, LASA, ESPAnet) and has organized conferences and seminars on European social policy, pension reforms, gender equality in the European Research Area (ERA).  

She has taught courses at both undergraduate and graduate level at Panteion University, the University of Piraeus, the University of Athens, the Agricultural University of Athens, the National School of Public Administration, the National school of Pubic Health. 

Marina has extensive experiences in the design, implementation and evaluation of EU projects (FP7, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, PROGRESS, COST Actios). She also serves as advisory board member to a number of EU-funded projects.
