Maria Petraki is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Administration and Organizations of the University of the Peloponnese. She holds a PhD from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she conducted her doctoral research as a scholar of the research programme “HERACLITUS II”. She also holds two Master’s degrees: one in Social Policy from the University of the Peloponnese and one in Public Policy from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She has extensive research experience in major national and European projects, as well as collaborations with European organisations and the public sector. She has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of the Peloponnese, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Hellenic Open University.
Her research focuses on social policy, local governance, child protection, social inequalities and public administration. She has published scientific articles in Greek and international academic journals, chapters in edited volumes, books and research reports, and has presented papers at Greek and international academic conferences.
