Dr. Sofia Agriopoulou holds a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master's Degree in Plant Production from the Agricultural University of Athens. She obtained her PhD Diploma in Food Science from the University of Patras. She has done postdoctoral research in Chemometrics at Aix Marseille University in France. Dr. Agriopoulou is currently a Lecturer specializing in Postharvest Physiology-Preservation of Agricultural Products, at the Department of Food Science and Technology of the University of Peloponnese. She has written 30 research papers and review articles and her research has been presented at 34 international and national conferences. She has also written 7 book chapters. She is a reviewer for several scientific journals, including Food Chemistry, Food Control, Toxins, Foods, Mycotoxin Research, Sustainability, Molecules and Coatings. She has participated in 3 international and 3 national research projects. She has written a book in Greek, on the subject of Quality Control - Chemometry and Authenticity of Foods of Plant and Animal Origin, published in 2022 by Tsotra Publications. He has edited a book on Chemometrics and Authenticity of Plant Foods, published in 2023 by CRC Publications.
