Vasilios Babalos is Associate Professor of Financial Management in the Department of Accounting and Finance, School of Management, University of Peloponnese. He received a PhD from the Department of Banking & Financial Management of the University of Piraeus (2010). He has received M.Sc. in Banking & Financial Management from the University of Piraeus (2004), as well as a Bachelor's Degree from the Department of Statistics and Insurance Science of the University of Piraeus (2001). Before joining the University of Peloponnese in 2017, he had extensive teaching experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate level at the Athens University of Economics and Business as well as at the University of Piraeus.
His research interests focus on the area of financial analysis, the behavior of capital markets and their interaction with markets such as real estate or commodities, the behavior of professional money managers as well as behavioral finance and green finance. His research has been presented at a number of scientific conferences and has been published in journals such as: Journal of Banking & Finance, Economics Letters, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, European Journal of Finance, Journal of Real Estate Finance & Economics, International Review of Economics & Finance, Quarterly Review of Economics & Finance etc.
